Want to learn about the varieties of Minnesota apples and get hands-on experience with an Apple Press? Mike Chambers and his granddaughter McKenzy will share their apple pressing expertise and we’ll have Master Gardeners in our midst to answer all of your apple questions. After pressing, you’ll be rewarded with a container of fresh juice AND big serving of Fresh Apple pie and ice cream! Have lots of your own apples? Bring them to the event for a squeeze!!!!!! Sponsored by Community Education’s AGE to age program, this event is FREE for everyone. Please call or email the Community Ed. office: if you’ll be attending-to make sure we have enough pie!!!!

Youth Classroom Driver’s Education-Yes, Classes & Behind-the-Wheel available during Covid.
Community Education offers teen driver’s education in cooperation with Tim and Catrina Roth of Mille Lacs Driving Instruction (MLDI). The goal of MLDI is not only to have students pass their driving test, but to help them become safe drivers. All instructors are licensed by the MN Dept. of Public Safety. Classroom instruction prepares the student to take the MN permit test. Visit their website for further information.

55+ Drive Refresher Courses-In person *Please register before class date & wear your mask.
Save 10% on your Auto Insurance. The MN Highway Safety and Research Center at St. Cloud State Univ. developed this program, specifically for Senior Drivers. It consists of 4 hours of lecture, discussion and educational videos. There are no written or behind the wheel tests. Upon completion of the course, drivers over the age of 55 are eligible for a 10% discount on their auto insurance. Topics covered include: Habits and Attitudes, Tires and Traction, Signs, etc. Please make payments to MLCE prior to the class date. Instructor, John Cavanaugh.
