Charles Borak, 6th Grade Telephone: 218-485-4834 ext. 1320 Email: I am from the wonderful small town of Norwood Young America, Minnesota. It is there that I met my now wife, Amanda (aka Mandy) in middle school. My dream of becoming a teacher happened during my senior year after I participated in cadet teaching program in a fourth grade classroom. It was there when I knew what my purpose in life would be; to teach and change the lives of those kids I work with. After high school I attended the University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) where I pursued a bachelor's degree in K-6 elementary education with a minor in special education. I had many field experiences in K-6 and ended my journey at UMD student teaching in the small town of Punta Gorda, Belize. My field experiences and student teaching in Belize helped me become the educator I am today. After graduating from UMD in May of 2011 I was hired shortly there after at Moose Lake Elementary School as a second grade teacher for the 2011-2012 school year. Since starting at Moose Lake I have taught second, third, and fourth grade. I have been in fourth grade with my dynamic grade-level partner, Mrs. Erickson, since the 2014-2015 school year.
