Northern Lights Special Education Cooperative office in Esko, MN has a .8 FTE Secretary/Receptionist position available.
This position is a 190 day contract (working the end of August through the beginning of June each year), 7 hours per day at $13.54/hr.
The NLSEC provides special education services for 13 member school districts in Northeastern MN.

The Northern Lights Special Education Cooperative has a secretary/receptionist on staff in the office in order to support the day to day business of the world of special education. This person is a friendly, organized, and efficient staff member that can work with and support a variety of people in the NLSEC office. Specific tasks that the secretary/receptionist is responsible for are listed below.
Answer and route a minimum of 20 calls daily
Create and maintain an absence reporting system to cover the reporting requirements of cooperative staff hosted by member districts, including recording and sending staff absence forms to host districts
Create and maintain an effective office inventory system and supplied workroom
Maintain professional and parent libraries-checking out, tracking, organizing and shelving books, catalogues, professional journals, tests and disability-adapted toys.
Maintain an effective and efficient file system
Collect and distribute daily mail and support any bulk mailing needs
Prepare documents using both Google tools and Microsoft Word
Copy, collate packets as needed for cooperative staff
Assist with phone and online registrations, sign-in sheets, CEUs, and evaluations for NLSEC trainings
Create and set up new student Medical Assistance folders
Maintain provider numbers and run necessary reports for Medical Assistance billing
Enter data to the Minnesota Department of Health and Human Services for Medical Assistance billing
Scan and save inactive Medical Assistance documentation
Assist in other Medical Assistance billing duties
Create, update, and maintain Cooperative directory
Supervise and evaluate students with disabilities who perform work-based learning jobs in the cooperative office
Create business cards for Cooperative staff
Create labels, maintain spreadsheets, send faxes, type letters and memos for Cooperative staff
Support Early Childhood Special Education including data, reports, surveys and Help Me Grow Referrals and support the ECSE Coordinator with other duties
Assist Technology Coordinator with Sped Forms or other duties
Enter calendar days in Sped Forms from district calendars
Keep email lists for staff in cooperative districts
Assist with Tuition Agreements for 13 districts
Keep Special Connections Database
Provide clerical support for Coordinators-data, reports, printing, copies
Help with Mentoring Day, Workshops, or other trainings
Send information packets and scheduling for Audiologist booth appointments
Support with coop-wide communications
Other duties as assigned
