Wine Glass Painting

A great gift idea!  Create a beautiful painted Winter Themed wine glass, based on the artwork of instructor Charlene Herrick.  No experience necessary! Acrylic glass paint will not wash off and is dishwasher safe, leaving you with a functional piece of artwork that can be enjoyed every day.  Instructor, Charlene Herrick.

Youth Driver’s Education Classroom

Community Education offers teen driver’s education in cooperation with Mille Lacs Driving Instruction (MLDI) The goal of MLDI is not only to have students pass their driving test, but to help them become safe drivers.  All instructors are licensed by the MN Dept. of Public Safety. Classroom instruction prepares the student to take the MN permit test. Classroom locations will vary between ML High School and Barnum High School.  *You must call or email MLDI to register.  320-676-3409

Course Fee:  $100 for Classroom    $260 for Behind the Wheel

55+ Drive Refresher & Eight Hour Courses

Save 10% on your Auto Insurance.  The MN Highway Safety and Research Center at St. Cloud State Univ. developed this program, specifically for Senior Drivers.  It consists of 8 hours of lecture, discussion and educational videos. There are no written or behind the wheel tests. Upon completion of the course, drivers over the age of 55 are eligible for a 10% discount on their auto insurance.  Topics covered include: Habits and Attitudes, Tires and Traction, Signs, etc. Please make payments to MLCE prior to the class date. Join at any time, work at your own pace, you do not have to attend every night in order to gain an invaluable insight. Bring any information you have available on your ancestors to class.

Belly Dance

Loosen up and feel better!  This 7 week session is open to both beginning and intermediate level students.  Instructor, Maura Corey, focuses on applying the movements associated with belly dance to exercise.  The class will include stretching, review, introduction to advanced movements, a short aerobic routine and learning a choreographed dance.  Course will also cover aspects of dance performance. *Please register with the Community Ed. Office prior to class.
